Spanning three hectares, this is one of Australia’s largest and most traditionally designed Japanese stroll gardens. During Carnival time, the cherry blossoms might just steal the show!

BOYCE GARDENS

Uncover this hidden gem just a stone’s throw from the city centre. These heritage gardens showcase sweeping lawns and grand trees that have matured beautifully over the decades. Don’t miss the rose garden, rainforest section and avocado orchard – these gardens are truly unique! It’s slightly off the main tourist path, which means you’ll often enjoy a peaceful experience here.

PRIVATE GARDENS

Some of Toowoomba’s most passionate gardeners open their private sanctuaries to visitors during Carnival. These hidden backyard masterpieces range from compact cottage gardens to sprawling estates, each reflecting the owner’s unique vision and years of loving care. Be sure to check the opening dates and times of any private gardens in advance, as they only open on select days each year.
