Bloomin’ Marvellous: The Secret Life of Our Floral Displays!

Toowoomba Regional Council has a team of garden gurus who design and plant the spectacular mass floral displays you’ll see throughout our city parks and CBD gardens each spring.

These green thumbs nurture over 150,000 seeds, bulbs, and seedlings each year, planting them with perfect timing to ensure our city erupts in a riot of colour when spring rolls around. That’s not just gardening—that’s flower choreography!

Where to get your flower fix

Our two show stopping floral extravaganzas can be found at:

Queens Park Botanic Gardens

On the corner Lindsay and Campbell Sts, Toowoomba - where flowers go to show off!

Laurel Bank Park

Hill St, Toowoomba - a botanical wonderland that'll have your camera begging for mercy!

But wait, there’s more! You can find additional splashes of colour around the CBD (Ruthven and Margaret Sts), Picnic Point Lookout, and the charming Spring Bluff Railway Station.

We highly recommend taking a leisurely stroll to drink in the full floral feast—each location has its own personality and plant varieties that’ll have you stopping to smell the snapdragons!

Hear from the Green Thumbs behind all the flowery magic!
Creating Toowoomba’s breathtaking floral displays is a delicate dance of planning, precision, and passion. Dive behind the scenes to explore the intricate journey from seeds to spectacular displays, uncovering the meticulous processes that transform our parks into a living canvas of colour and beauty.
