Under the cover of darkness, you’ll uncover the stories of exotic species from around the globe and discover the botanical secrets of this picture-perfect spot. Twilight Tours will be running:
Every Tue – Sat during Carnival (starting Fri 12 Sept)
5.30pm – 6.30pm.

Join your tour near the Info Hub at 5:30pm.

Tickets cost $15 per person, and bookings are essential!

Companion Card holders can purchase a ticket and present it with your Companion Card to the tour guide so you companion can enjoy complimentary entry.

Laurel Bank Park offers accessible parking, wheelchair access and an accessible bathroom. Please note that the event is hosted outdoors on paved, grassed and uneven surfaces.
Parking available on Hill St, Herries St and a short walking distance from Grand Central Shopping Centre car parks.

What are the Twilight Tours?+

Our Twilight Tours are a one-hour tour of Laurel Bank Park hosted by Toowoomba Regional Council gardeners. You’ll tour the park during the twilight hours and learn about the gardens, Carnival plantings and even some tips for your home garden!

Twilight Tours run every Tuesday to Saturday during Carnival, starting Friday 12 September. Each tour runs from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

Where do I meet for the tour?+

Meet your tour guide near the Info Hub (near the Hill Street park entrance) at 5.30pm sharp.

How much do tickets cost?+

Tickets are $15 per person and bookings are essential!

You'll explore the parks different plantings and international tree collection including majestic English and Spanish oaks, ancient Gingko trees and delicate Japanese maples. Your guide will share stories of exotic species and may even reveal some tips and tricks to achieve a Carnival style garden at home.

How long is the tour?+

Each tour runs for one hour (5.30pm – 6.30pm).

Do I need to book in advance?+

Yes, bookings are essential as these tours have limited capacity.

What should I wear or bring?+

We recommend comfortable walking shoes and a light jacket as evenings can be cool. The tour takes place outdoors entirely within Laurel Bank Park.

goes ahead rain, hail or shine! Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather conditions and bring an umbrella or raincoat if rain is forecast.

The tour is suitable for all ages, though children must be accompanied by an adult for the evening outdoor experience.

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the Twilight Tours as long as they remain leashed at all times. Please remember to pick up after your pets and ensure they don't disturb other tour participants or the park's plantings.
