What is a Tasting Tour?

Our Tasting Tours are guided walking tours that take you on a flavour-packed adventure through handpicked local venues in Toowoomba. Each tour follows a specific theme - cocktails, wine, or pubs/beer - and features a signature drink and perfectly paired bites at every stop. Led by a knowledgeable guide, these tours are designed to showcase the best of Toowoomba's drinking and dining scene while giving you a fresh perspective on the city's hidden gems. It's a fun way to discover local hotspots you might not have found on your own!

How many venues do we visit on each tour?

Each Tasting Tour visits three carefully selected local venues, with a short stroll between each stop.

How long does each tour last?

Each Tasting Tour lasts 2½ hours, giving you plenty of time to savour the drinks and food pairings at each venue while enjoying the guided experience and short walks between locations.

Do I need to be 18+ to join the tour?

Yes, you must be 18 or over to participate in the Tasting Tours.

Will ID be required for participation?

Yes, you'll need to bring valid photo ID to verify your age. Venues may request to see your ID before serving alcohol, so please ensure you have it with you on the day of your tour.

Are the tours suitable for non-drinkers?

Unfortunately, the Tasting Tours are not suitable for non-drinkers as the venues are unable to substitute the signature drinks with non-alcoholic alternatives. The tours are specifically designed around alcohol tastings (cocktails, wine, or beer), so participants need to be comfortable consuming alcohol to fully enjoy the experience.

Do I get a full drink at each venue or just a tasting?

You'll receive a full signature drink at each of the three venues, not just a small tasting. Each drink is specially selected to represent the best of what that venue offers and is perfectly paired with complementary bites.

Can dietary requirements be accommodated for the food pairings?

Some tours can accommodate dietary reuirements; please check the listing for each tour. If you have serious food allergies or strict dietary restrictions, please consider whether this tour is suitable for you before booking.

Our pub tours run on a Sunday morning, so a more relaxed smart‑casual look is ideal. Whichever tour you choose, comfortable, supportive shoes are essential, as you’ll be walking and on your feet throughout the experience.

Should I eat before the tour or will the food pairings be substantial?

Each stop serves up a signature sip paired with a perfectly matched small plate – think flavour-packed bites and cocktail delights as you wonder the heart of Toowoomba.

Can I purchase additional drinks at the venues?

Should you wish to indulge a little further, each venue offers time to purchase can an additional drink at your leisure – perfect for those who savour a second sip.
