EVent Description

The cutest event on the Carnival calendar is back! Paw Parade transforms Queens Park into a sea of wagging tails, happy faces and pups in a-dawg-able costumes. Free to attend and fun for the whole family, market stalls, doggie activities and a very enthusiastic crowd of dog fans await.
Have a dog who loves to be the star of the show? Register them to enter the parade and unleash their inner superstar!

This event is pet friendly! Dogs must remain on a leash at all times.

Prizes are up for grabs in each of our cute canine categories:
– Best flower-inspired outfit
– Little paws (kids 12 & under + doggie partners)
– Pet and owner lookalikes
– Senior sweetheart (dogs over 9)

Paw Parade Registration
Your Paw Parade registration includes entry into the event for one (1) dog in one (1) parade category. You can register your dog in up to two (2) parade categories. Registrations are open until 5pm on 20 Sept, or until sold out. Each registration includes a special gift for your four-legged fashionista!

Food available for purchase (for humans and pooches)
Venue offers accessible parking nearby. Please note that the event is hosted outdoors on grassed surfaces. Accessible bathrooms are available in the park area immediately outside the event.
Street parking available
Toilets available on site. Accessible bathrooms are available in the park area immediately outside the event.
Doggies welcome! Pets must remain on a leash at all times.

Petals, please read through these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing a ticket to register your paw-fect pal to take part in Paw Parade.

Refunds
All registrations are non-refundable.

Cancellation (by TCOF)
In the event of cancellation of the event by Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers (such as extreme weather event), refunds will be processed via the ticketing provider.

Exchanges are not permitted for this event.

Resale
Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers (TCOF) and Ticketbooth recommend the use of Tixel, a reputable online ticket resale platform. To list unwanted tickets for sale, visit tixel.com.au. TCOF does not recommend the use of online marketplaces to sell unwanted tickets.
In the event that you sell or gift your ticket to another without using the resale facility, please be sure you/they notify info@tcof.com.au to inform parade coordinators of the ticketholders name. Guests can also change the name of the ticket on their order by logging in to Ticketbooth if they sell or gift their ticket privately.

Cancellation (by attendee)
In the event that you are unable to attend due to illness or unexpected circumstances, no refund will be issued. TCOF encourages the use of resale facilities. Please note that this is an all-weather event.

What is Paw Parade?

Paw Parade is a dog-friendly event held as part of Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. It’s a morning celebration of pets, people and petals, featuring novelty dog parades, market stalls, a pet café, and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments.

How long does the event last?

The event runs for 3 1/2 hours, from 8.30am to 12pm.

Is there an entry fee or registration required?

The event is free to attend for spectators. If you'd like your dog to participate in the novelty pet parades, registration is $15 per dog, per category.

Can I register my dog in more than one parade category?

You can register your dog in up to two (2) parade categories.

Can I bring any type of pet or just dogs?

This event is strictly for dogs only.

What if my pet isn't fully trained or is nervous around other animals?

All pets must always be on a lead and under control of the handler/owner.

Paw Parade is a public event and we encourage owners to use their discretion, as you know your pet best!

Will there be vendors or pet-related booths?

Yes! There will be market stalls offering pet accessories, treats, boutique products and activities. Some vendors will also host interactive pet-friendly experiences.

There will be human food and drink options as well.

Are there prizes or competitions?

Yes, our novelty pet parades include the following categories:
• Best Flower-Inspired Outfit
• Little Paws (kids and doggie partners)
• Pet and Owner Lookalike
• Senior Sweetheart

A first-place ribbon and prize will be awarded in each category. Every registered pup will receive a doggie gift on arrival!

Is food available for both pets and owners?

Yes, there wil be a wide variety of food options for both dogs and humans.

Where should I park?

Public parking is available in surrounding areas near Queens Park, including Margaret Street, Lindsay Street and Mary Street. We do recommend walking where possible.

Are there waste stations provided?

Dedicated dog waste bag bins and normal rubbish bins will be available throughout the event site. Please ensure you clean up after your pet and always dispose of faeces via a plastic waste bag, and rubbish into the designated bins.

What should I bring for my pet?

We recommend:
• A lead (required for all dogs)
• Water and a portable bowl
• Dog waste bags
• Any treats, toys or calming aids your dog may need
• A costume if participating in a parade!

Are pets required to be on leash?

Yes. All dogs must be always leashed and controlled by handler/owner.

What's the policy if my pet doesn't get along with others?

Owners are responsible for their dog. All dogs must be leashed at all times and owners are encouraged to always use their discretion.

If your dog typically displays aggressive behaviour, this event may not be appropriate to attend.

If you dog displays aggressive behaviour whist at the event, you may be asked to move to a less populated area or leave the event.

Our MC will regularly remind attendees of pet etiquette to keep the event enjoyable for everyone.

Can I attend without a dog?

Absolutely. Paw Parade is just as much fun to watch as it is to participate in, so everyone is welcome — dogs or no dogs.

Is Paw Parade suitable for families?

Yes. Paw Parade is a family‑friendly event with plenty to enjoy for visitors of all ages.

Is Paw Parade accessible?

Paw Parade is held outdoors on relatively flat grassed and paved areas.Accessible toilets are available immediately outside the event area, near the all-abilities playground.

Will there be professional pet photographers?

Yes! We will have a photo booth and roaming photographers capturing the best dressed and happiest pups.

Are there adoption opportunities available?

No.

What happens if it rains?

Paw Parade goes ahead rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for outdoor conditions.

Can local pet businesses participate as vendors?

Yes! We are currently seeking interest from dog businesses and food vendors. Please reach out if you would like to be involved.
