Step back in time and explore the rich history of Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers at the Toowoomba Local History Library. Leaf through historic newspapers, photographs, programs and videos that bring Toowoomba’s most iconic event to life across the decades — from its humble beginnings to the spectacular celebration it is today.

Whether you’re a lifelong local with your own Carnival memories or a first-time visitor curious about how it all began, this is a fascinating and deeply personal way to connect with the heart of the festival. Library staff will be on hand throughout to help you dig deeper into Toowoomba’s past and answer any questions you might have along the way.

It won’t cost you a single petal — this event is free!
