Turn your pup’s daily walk into an epic outdoor adventure! This tail-wagging itinerary combines tasty treats, stunning views, and plenty of off-leash fun for both you and your four-legged explorer.
FUEL UP
Start your adventure at The Other Bird (2 Margaret St). Set amongst gorgeous gardens, this dog-friendly café welcomes pups in their outdoor area. With a strong focus on locally produced foods, and diners with dietary needs, it’s a great spot for brekkie. Your furry companion might even spot some new doggy friends.
PUPPY PARADISE
Next on the agenda – make your way to J.E. Duggan Park (Leslie St, Rangeville), only 7 minutes’ drive. Covering around eight hectares, this park is a forest regeneration site where a natural eucalypt forest has been encouraged to develop. This is an on-leash area, but there are several walking trails to offer interesting smells for your dog, and beautiful scenery for you. Don’t forget your water bottle!
FREE RANGE FIDO
If your pooch still has energy to burn, hop in the car and take the quick 4-minute drive over to Garnet Lehmann Park (15 Aberdeen St). This 2.8 ha, unfenced dog-off leash area is popular with locals of the human and canine variety. On a hot day (or after a bushwalk!) dogs can cool down in the creek that runs through the park. The perfect way to wind down after a fun-filled day of adventuring.
