FOUR WEEKENDS OF FLORAL-FILLED FUN, RUNNING FROM 12 SEPTEMBER TO 6 OCTOBER!

From Paddock to Picnic Rug: FEASTival Serves Up Flavour at Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers

Featuring a special appearance and live demonstrations by celebrity chef Miguel Maestre!

It’s not a festival — it’s a FEASTival!

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is proud to announce the launch of its newest headline event: FEASTival, a two-day celebration of all things local, delicious, and delightfully family friendly.

Taking over the picturesque surrounds of Queens Park on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September, FEASTival invites food lovers of all ages to explore the tastes, sounds and stories of the Toowoomba Region, from sweet treats and savoury delights to sips, samples, and chef-led entertainment.

Born from the roots of the Festival of Food & Wine, FEASTival is a fresh take on food-focused festivities. An event where regional produce, culinary talent, live music and laid-back picnic vibes come together under the trees. During the hours of 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, it’s the perfect time to taste, relax, and explore.

Guests can sample from pop-up kitchens, artisan producers and boutique bars, all while soaking in the sweet sounds of local musicians performing throughout the park. Throw down a picnic rug, try something new, and make memories with the whole family.

And when the sun sets and the FEASTival picnic wraps up, the flavour continues. Visitors are encouraged to explore Toowoomba’s buzzing downtown venues, from cosy wine bars to authentic pubs, the perfect remedy to keep the FEASTival spirit alive well into the evening.

Across both days of FEASTival, guests will be treated to a special appearance and live cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Miguel Maestre. Known for his vibrant personality, culinary passion, and popular TV roles on The Living Room and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, Miguel will light up Queens Park with his signature flair. On stage, he’ll share the secrets behind his love of fresh, seasonal cooking, inspiring audiences with his energetic style and delicious creations.

Adding even more flavour to the FEASTival experience, a series of premium ticketed upgrades are available for guests seeking a deeper dive into the region’s culinary talent. Held in the Mixing Bowl precinct of the event across Saturday and Sunday, these curated sessions will include interactive tastings and hands on masterclasses. With prices ranging from $20 to $50 and limited spaces available for each session, these exclusive experiences are expected to sell out fast.

FEASTival is where flavour, fun and community come together in a relaxed, regional setting. From first bites to final beats, it’s a weekend made for sharing plates, soaking up sunshine, and celebrating everything that makes this region taste so good.
