Heritage-listed Spring Bluff Railway Station combines over 150 years of railway history with landscaped gardens that will stop you in your tracks! The springtime garden exhibit is a real showstopper, with thousands of petals putting on a magnificent display – poppies, ranunculi, stocks, snapdragons, petunias and many more annuals burst into colour under the warm sunshine.
Just a quick 20-minute drive from Toowoomba and you’ll be marvelling at this picture-perfect location. It’s surprisingly peaceful here, nestled on the divide between the Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley Regions.
A heads-up that this heritage-listed site is not fully accessible, with steep grassy inclines and stairs up to the main garden area. One accessible toilet is available on the rail platform via a gravel pathway.
Unfortunately, your furry friends must stay at home for this one, and the steep road isn’t suitable for caravans.
Queensland Rail operate the Spring Bluff Shuttle, a scenic return rail trip departing from Toowoomba Railway Station twice daily from Saturday 20 to Sunday 28 September. Coffee and snacks will be available at Spring Bluff during these dates.
