One of Toowoomba’s premier parks, Laurel Bank Park is reminiscent of the classic English garden. Manicured gardens and towering trees take centre stage here, alongside a scented garden for the visually impaired, children’s playground, barbecue and picnic areas – even two croquet lawns!

Laurel Bank Park provides a year-long show with spectacular transformations brought about by the changing seasons. Many of the park’s stately old trees are deciduous, with their leaves changing colour from glowing yellows and browns in autumn, to be replaced with the stark framework of winter branches, before taking on the vibrant new growth of spring and summer.

When spring arrives, Laurel Bank Park really puts the petal to the metal! Thousands of flowers overflow from garden beds, a glorious wisteria arbour creates purple canopies, and an avenue of ornamental peach trees bursts into bloom. Every year 70,000 – 80,000 annuals and 11,000 bulbs are planted for our spring displays here. Talk about flower power!

During Carnival the park comes alive with showstopping floral displays, toe-tapping tunes by People First Bank Parkland Entertainment, food trucks, a helpful Carnival Info Hub and enlightening Twilight Tours led by our knowledgeable gardeners.
