If you need a breather from the hustle and bustle of our feature floral parks, pack your picnic blanket and your esky, and head out to Peacehaven Botanic Park.
A quick 15 minute drive north of the Toowoomba CBD will have you arriving at this scenic park set over a sprawling 5.3 hectares. This is one of our favourite green spaces, because it has something to suit everyone.
– Room for the kids to run amuck and an adventure themed nature playground
– Plenty of lawn for picnics
– Panoramic views of Gowrie Junction and the Bunya Mountains
– Over 200 species of native flora, plus scores of birds and wildlife
We highly recommend garden lovers time their visit to stop in at the specialist native plant nursery which often stocks plants rarely sold other nurseries. The volunteers here really know their stuff too! The nursery is open on Thursdays, Thursday 9am -12.30pm, and Saturdays, 9am -1pm.
