Come and learn more about the ecological gems in the region! Friends of the Escarpment Parks are coordinating FREE Wednesday tours that explore Hartmann Reserve in Rangeville, while Friday heads further afield to Highfields where Charles & Motee Rogers Reserve (Rogers Reserve) invites you to learn more about natural habitats and local wildlife.
About Rogers Reserve: Bush walking trails are accessible from the Highfields library entrance and are open to the public each day. Toilet and wheelchair facilities are available near by in the Highfields Aquatic and Fitness Centre. A bus stop or drop off point is accessible in front of the Highfields Aquatic and Fitness Centre, 9 Sean McCarthy Way. Car and bus parking is available near by and along O’Brien Road (opposite the Fire Station).
Highlights of Rogers Reserve include accessible bushland habitat trails, native plants, as well as numerous opportunities to see and possibly photograph birds in the reserve. Formed tracks and level ground are suitable for families and may be suitable for wheel chair access. Ongoing volunteer bush regeneration activities occur in Rogers Reserve on the 1st and 4th Friday each month from 9am. For more information contact Friends of the Escarpment Parks.

Free guided tours and optional bush regeneration activities (suitable for families) of Rogers Reserve are available on two Fridays, 27th September and 4th October.
Tours commence at 9am & 11am, meeting at the park entrance near the Highfields Library (located between Obrien Road and the Highfields Aquatic and Fitness Centre)
